Candidate Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice (together with any other documents referred to herein) sets out the basis on which Lalamove (Delaware) Technology LLC and Easy Mobile Logistics Hong Kong Limited ("Lalamove", "we" or "us") collect and process your personal information during our recruitment processes. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal information and how we will process it.
We use our own platform or a third-party recruitment platform to assist us with our recruitment process. We also engage service providers and contractors to process personal information on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions.
Where you apply for a job opening posted by us, these Privacy Notice provisions will apply to our processing of your personal information in addition to our other Privacy Notice which has been provided to you separately or is available on our website.
Where you apply for a job opening via the application function on a job site or similar online service provider ("Partner"), you should note that the relevant Partner may solely retain your personal information in respect of the progress of your application. Any use by the Partner of your data will be in accordance with the Partner's Privacy Notice.
1. BUSINESS, DATA CONTROLLER, AND CONTACT DETAILS
For the purposes of applicable U.S. state privacy laws (e.g., California), we act as a "business" and are a Data Controller as defined in applicable U.S. state privacy laws, including, but not limited to, the Colorado Privacy Act, Connecticut Data Privacy Act, Delaware Personal Data Privacy Act, Iowa Consumer Data Protection Act, Maryland Online Data Privacy Act, Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act, Montana Consumer Data Privacy Act, Nebraska Data Privacy Act, New Hampshire Data Privacy Act, New Jersey Data Protection Act, Oregon Consumer Privacy Act, Tennessee Information Protection Act, Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Utah Consumer Privacy Act, Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and/or any future state privacy laws as may be applicable from time to time.

2. YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We collect and process some or all of the following types of information from you:
(a) Information provided during the application process (e.g., online portals, interviews):
- Name, address, email address, telephone number, and other contact information;
- Resume, CV, cover letter, previous work experience, professional licenses and certifications, job skills and qualifications, and education information;
- Compensation history and requests, willingness to relocate, and other job preferences;
- Reference information, employer feedback, and information received from background checks, only where legally permitted or required; and
- Online questionnaire results and information from interviews.
(b) Any additional information provided or revealed during the application and recruitment process (e.g., language preference).
Anonymized or aggregated data may be used for statistical analysis, system improvement, or lawful business purposes.
3. SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION ("SPI")
We do NOT collect and use SPI during the recruitment.
4. INFORMATION FROM OTHER SOURCES
Your personal information may be disclosed to us through third-party processors acting under our instruction, such as recruitment firms/agencies, or service providers that offer applicant tracking systems.
We may link data you provide with publicly available information (e.g., LinkedIn). We may also receive data from third-party recruiters, referral systems, or public databases.
Additionally, we may disclose your personal information to business partners, such as law firms or consulting firms, if their services are required to support your employment-related matters, including but not limited to visa applications, immigration procedures, or other necessary formalities.
5. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We process your personal information:
- to evaluate your application;
- to maintain administrative records and defend against legal claims; and
- with your consent, to contact you for future job opportunities.
By voluntarily submitting your application to us, you consent to the processing of your personal information for recruitment purposes. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at: hr.dataprivacy@lalamove.com.
6. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER
As a global company, we may need to engage service providers and contractors located outside the United States and share your personal information with them. These jurisdictions may have privacy laws that are different from those in your state or country. We will ensure that all transfers of your personal information comply with applicable legal requirements and where required, we will use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers (e.g., contractual commitments with service providers and contractors) and take steps to protect your information consistent with this Notice.
7. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may disclose your data to:
- Business Transfers:
We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
- Affiliates:
We may share your information with our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Notice. Affiliates include our parent company and any subsidiaries, joint venture partners, or other companies that we control or that are under common control with us.
- Further recipients (i.e. independent controllers):
We may share your information with certain business partners, competent authorities, courts, and law enforcement authorities where this is required under applicable laws or necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. We may also share your personal information with our external legal advisers, auditors, and insurers, where such sharing is necessary for them to provide their services to us.
The CCPA defines "sale" as disclosing personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration, and "sharing" as disclosing it to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not engage in such activities.
8. DATA SECURITY AND STORAGE
We implement security measures to prevent unauthorized access, use, or loss of personal information.
Data Retention:
If your application is successful (and we give our best wishes), your data will be transferred to your personnel file and retained in accordance with statutory retention requirements applicable to employment relationships. In this case, your data may be stored for several years as required for contractual and legal purposes.
If your application is unfortunately not successful, your personal information (e.g., CVs, interview notes) will be retained for a period of up to six months after the conclusion of the recruitment process. This retention period is based on our legitimate business purposes in defending against potential legal claims.
With your explicit consent, we may retain your application data for a longer period of 2 years in order to contact you about future job opportunities. You may withdraw your consent at any time. We will periodically review whether continued retention of your data is necessary. Retention review will be carried out annually.
9. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the following rights:
- Right to know whether or not we are processing your personal information
- Right to access your personal information
- Right to correct inaccuracies in your personal information
- Right to request the deletion of your personal information
- Right to obtain a copy of the personal information you previously shared with us
- Right to portability of information you provided to us, in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. We may share online identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising only if you enable targeting cookies and trackers
- Right to limit the use/disclosure of SPI. We do not collect SPI during the recruitment. As such, your right to limit use and disclosure of SPI does not apply
10. HOW TO EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS
Sending Us Your Requests:
To exercise these rights, you can contact us directly by emailing dpo@lalamove.us, or by sending us your requests through the contact details as set out in the section headed "Business, Data Controller, and Contact Details".
Authorized Agent:
Under certain U.S. state privacy laws, you can designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may deny a request from an authorized agent that does not submit proof that they have been validly authorized to act on your behalf in accordance with applicable laws.
Request Verification:
Upon receipt of your request, we will need to verify your identity to confirm that you are the person whom we maintain information in our systems. We will only use personal information provided in your request to verify your identity or authority to make the request. If we cannot verify your identity from the information already maintained by us, we may request you to provide additional information exclusively for the purposes of identity verification and for the prevention of security breaches or fraudulent activities.
Appeals:
Under applicable U.S. state privacy laws, if we deny your request, you may appeal our decision by emailing us at dpo@lalamove.us. We will inform you in writing of any action taken or not taken in response to the appeal and provide a written explanation of the reasons for the decision.
11. CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE
We may update this notice from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes where required by law. We encourage you to periodically review this notice.
